Do not hesitate to be happy because of the "Holy-Name". You are held back to surrender to it for all kinds of reasons. First reason, which you probably do not realize, is that the ''false ego'' does not like the ''Holy-Name''.
The ''false ego'' knows well that your spirit is not accessible to your arguments, you who had the Revelation and who observe the pillars of the agya, he knows it, then, he disguises himself, passes for the ''reason'' (sattva).
By taking your voice, the ''false ego'' whispers in your ear: ''It is not reasonable to abandon oneself thus to the ''Holy-Name'', when everything is so bad in the world !''.
World History
Everything is so bad in the world ? But, it has always been so, and often worse than today ! The life of a Man is so brief that he cannot realize it, but the world changes all the time.
Ignorance has always engendered evil, turmoil, wars and famines. If you are forty years old and you have not experienced war, the one that affects you personally in your habits and your comfort, do not deduce that it will never happen. The scale of the history of peoples is not that of human life.
Civilizations appear, develop, perish and disappear, it is not the time of a human life, not even of a generation. The Hittites, the Romans, the Macedonians, the Mayans, the emperors of China, the pharaohs, among others, lasted longer than the life of a Man.
Vanity
The life of a Man lasts the time of… the life of a Man, more or less thirty years. It is your deadline that you should worry about. Get ready, the end of your time is near ! I mean, do something to prepare yourself, so as not to miss the "rendez-vous".
The world of men is ruled by human vanity, its ignorance then, what do you expect ? Would you like fools to behave wisely ? The time of the ''wise princes'' of Lao-Tzu is long gone !
“In past times, men followed the Dao, and then the Dao was forgotten. Men and their justice became masters. It was the time of intelligence, skill and desire knew no limits. When calculation and prudence seized the minds of princes, hypocrisy and betrayal were born. One saw filial piety and affection replaced by morality and the world sank into disorder. Then appears the wise, to say the help of the Dao." (Dao-De-Jing , 18)
Today, wisdom and reason no longer govern the world of men. Morality reigns and beware of those who do not share it ! That’s why the world is falling into disorder, but you ? Don’t you have a guide to stay in control of desire and emotions ? See your life and keep it on the path of reason.
The Good And the Evil
To stay on the path of reason, you must know how to distinguish good from evil, know how to make the difference. It is not easy! Should you follow morality in this ? Religion ? Your concepts ?
“At first man was upright, then evil appeared. Man, seeing evil, knew what good was. Opposites exist one by one, such as being and not-being, knowledge and ignorance, light and darkness” (Dao-De-Jing, 2).
“Renounce studies (religious), you will avoid confusion. Small is the difference between an automatic ''yes'' and a membership ''yes'', but big is the difference between good and evil. Remain calm, alien to desires, tumult and fear. I remain like a newborn, looking inward. Men amass goods. I am like an ignorant who has lost everything. Men seek to shine. I remain in the shadow, unfathomable and floating like a leaf in the wind. I am not like everyone else, because I drink from the source of the Dao." (Dao-De-Jing, 20)
The Agya And the Guide
You have the agya, to guide you, and the satsang of the master. You also have your own understanding, from the Observance, from your practice. This is the safe haven of which Buddha Gautama spoke, the dharma.
"By constancy, vigilance, discipline and self-control, may the vigilant make for himself an island, a refuge that no flood can overcome" (Words of the Buddha, Dhammapada, 25).
Evil is the opposite of good, but good ? What is it ? Good is all that brings you closer to fundamental harmony, reason and self-control, desire and attachment.
“False ego” does not like “reason”. It is the result of ignorance, darkness and vanity (tamas). What could be more natural than he does not like knowledge, light and humility (sattva).
The false ego of one who dedicates himself to authentic spirituality passes for the voice of reason and becomes the ego-spiritual. He speaks, smiling, with great sweetness, of ''namasté'' and of : ''I love us''.
He loves animals, considering them as the equals of Man and opens its doors to the whole world, tending the other cheek when hit forgetting his relatives and the land of his ancestors. On the other hand, he devotes a fierce hatred to his commensaux who do not make the same mistake as him, dedicating them to the "gémonies".
Don’t listen to what speaks english in your head. Listen to the ''Holy-Name'', let yourself be lulled by it and read satsang, this Path (dharma) is your safe shelter. “Having tasted the taste of perfect shelter and peace, observing it is without sorrow or stain, savoring the taste of the high joy of dharma” (Words of the Buddha, Dhammapada, 205).
